USPAP-COMPLIANT INVENTORY APPRAISALS

Third-Party Inventory Verification Since 2006

Our Clients Use Inventory Appraisals For:

Mitigating The Risks

Inventory is a highly volatile asset group, since the inventory mix is constantly changing with new orders and shipments, consumer demand/product changes, model changes due to technology, and other factors. For these reasons, a third-party inspection and appraisal are necessary for risk management when considering inventory as collateral.

We consider numerous subject-specific valuation factors that affect recovery potential including:

  • Inventory mix
  • Physical count variances
  • Product and packaging condition
  • Storage concerns
  • Relative locations of the warehouses
  • Product category concentrations
  • Dependent demand
  • Obsolescence
  • Slow moving
  • Historical sales
  • Supply and demand

An inventory appraiser also considers potential buyers or buyer types in an exit strategy, expected time on the market for a sale, and current market conditions.
